FACULTY POSITIONS

The Department of Chemical Engineering welcomes applications for faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level from Indan nationals, and from citizens of other countries. Applicants should have a PhD with an outstanding academic record, 1-2 years of post-doctoral experience, and should preferably be below 35 years of age. A commitment to high quality graduate education is sought along with the talents and the motivation to build an innovative research program that will lead to national and international recognition. All research areas will be considered.

Applications for faculty positions are welcome throughout the year. Applications should include the following:

• Curriculum Vitae (Resume), with list of publications - please list publications in journals and conference proceedings separately.
  
• A research proposal that gives us a good idea about what you plan to do in the next 5 years, how your plan is novel, interesting, and/or important, what techniques you will use and what facilities you will need. You may comment on potential collaborations, if you wish.
  
• A teaching proposal that details what courses you would like to teach, what experience you have (if any) in teaching, and any other relevant information. A list of courses offered in our department currently may be found at http://chemeng.iisc.ernet.in/chem-webpage/acadprog-courses.php (the electives tend to change a bit every year).
  
• Names and email addresses of at least three referees who can provide informed comment on your work.
  
• Copies of what you believe are your best papers (maximum five).
